Pre-cut lidding supports plastic weight reduction

We are delighted to be working with family owned and operated rora dairy, since its decision to remove the ‘clip on lids’ from its yogurt pots and replace them with pre-cut lidding. The move to pre-cut lidding has also meant an upgrade of its sealing equipment from lidding equipment specialists, Seal-it Systems.

‘The transition process has gone very well. Our original lidding equipment was modified and upgraded on-site by SIS engineers with minimal disruption, and the new lidding is easy to open and provides a strong, secure seal.” explains Jane Mackie, Managing Director at rora dairy. “Moving to pre-cut lidding has increased packing efficiency, and reduced our plastic usage. The sealing equipment also offers date coding capabilities.”

rora dairy is an organic, family-run farm in Aberdeenshire. It produces a range of yogurts made with local Scottish ingredients, which can be found throughout Scotland in large retailers and small independent stores.
